History

Manthan was founded in 2004.[3]

In 2007, Manthan received a $2 million investment from IDG Ventures.[4] A 2012 funding round, with an investment of $15 million, was led by Norwest Venture Partners.[5] A 2015 round of $60 million was led by Temasek Holdings and Norwest.[6][7]

In November 2019, the company acquired Richrelevance.[8][9]

Products

Manthan Systems develops predictive analytics and business intelligence software, designed to assist businesses in determining what consumers are likely to buy.[3][10] Its clients have included Crocs, EBay, and McDonald's.[3]

In 2015, Manthan announced a product analogous to Apple's Siri, which would allow business executives to ask questions by voice, to which Manthan's software would generate a response.[11]

In 2016, Manthan announced a partnership with Tableau Software.[12]

Recognition

In 2014, Manthan was named company of the year in analytics by Frost & Sullivan.[13]
