Manamo Miyata

On August 13, 2017, Miyata passed the auditions for new members of Keyakizaka46's subgroup Hiragana Keyakizaka46 (now Hinatazaka46) and became one of the second generation members in that group.[1]

On June 10, 2019, the formation of the second single "Do Re Mi Sol La Si Do" was announced, in which Miyata was positioned in the second row of the choreography for the first time.[2]

On November 21, 2020, Miyata announced that she was physically unwell and went into hiatus.[3] On March 26, 2021, she returned to the group.[4]

Her nicknames are Manamo,[5] Manamon,[6] and Moti.[7] She prefers her nickname "Manamo" to her surname "Miyata".[8] She is known for acting cutely. Her favorite food is red beans (小豆, Azuki) and her favorite celebrities are Kaori Ishihara (voice actor), Kaori Ekuni (writer), Akane Chihaya (writer), and Nashiko Momotsuki (cosplayer).

Nao Kosaka, another member of Hinatazaka46, who is also part of the second generation, described Miyata as "a child who has a lot of ideas, so she often consults with me, has a good feeling, and I can be pampered." She is also described as "natural" and a "great woman".[9]

She respects Akane Moriya, who was formerly part of the Sakurazaka46.[10]

Miyata is the oldest of the Hinatazaka46 second generation members.[9] Her lightstick colors are red and pearl pink.

Miyata's Showroom stream is nicknamed the "Blood Donation room" (献血るうむ, Kenketsu room) and her fans collectively "Team Hb" (チームヘモグロビン, Team hemogurobin).[11]

She says she prefers to be called "Manamo-san",[12] but from her juniors she prefers to be called "Manamo-chan" or "Manamo-san".[13]

Miyata enjoys reading and frequently recommends books to other Hinatazaka46 members,[14] and brought her own comic books for the bookshelf in the group's office.[14] She occasionally discusses literature in the group's television shows.[15][16]

Amongst the members, she is especially close to Yūka Kageyama, a member of the first-year generation; Nao Kosaka, a member of the second-year generation; and Marie Morimoto, a member of the third-year generation.[13][9][17] She uses the combination name of "Busines's"[11] with Kageyama, "Manao" (まなお, Manao)[18] with Kosaka, and "MM sisters" (MM姉妹, MM shimai)[19] with Morimoto. She also mentions that the name of the duo with Mana Takase, a first-year generation, is similar to her own name, so it's a "Mana mana duo" (まなまなコンビ, Mana mana konbi), so the combination name with her 2nd generation member Konoka Matsuda is "beans".[20] She also says that she is a fan of Akari Nibu, a second-year generation.[21]

Although she is part of the second-year generation, her age is closer to many of her senior first-year generations, so she calls Sarina Ushio "Sarina-chan" (さりなちゃん, Sarina-chan),[22] Ayaka Takamoto is called "Aya-chan" (あやちゃん, Aya-chan),[23] and Yuka Kageyama is called "Kage-chan" (影ちゃん, Kage-chan).[24]

In the project called "3-minute relay cooking" of the crown program "Hiragana Oshi" in the 46th era of Keyakizaka, Kyōko Saitō, a first-year generation, lost control while cooking, so she took over and said "Kyoko-san, what are you doing?" (京子さん、何してんですか！, kyōkosan, nanishitendesuka！) This was based on a similar quote, "Kyoko-san, what are you doing?".[25] It was subsequently released as one of the Blu-ray works of "Hiragana Oshi".[26]

In the group, she is known for acting cutely (also known as burikko) and performs flirtatious gestures such as winking, kissing, sticking her tongue out, beckoning, moving her neck, and saying sexy words. Her gestures caught the hearts of fans and members. Audrey, who is the MC of Hinatazaka46's crown program "Hinatazaka de Aimashō", said that it was "awesome", so she was called "Miyata Pro". In addition, Kyoko Saito, a first-year generation, says "The clever," and Miho Watanabe, a second-year generation, says "I'm doing it completely."[27]

In November 2018, it was announced that Miyata would participate in the short story collection The Worst Encounter, The Best Love (最低な出会い、最高の恋, Saiteina Deai, Saikō no Koi), published by the literature social networking service monogatary.com.[28]

In November 2021, it was announced that Miyata would participate in the 15th anniversary celebration of Kobunsha Classics New Translation Collection, which featured book recommendations by fifteen entertainment figures known for their interest in classical literature.[29] Miyata's recommendation was the twelfth century short story The Lady who Loved Insects.[30]

In February 2022, Miyata participated in the fourth Idol Tanka Party, organized by the Tanka Study Society (短歌研究社).[31]

In March 2022, Kaori Ishihara's photobook Terminal, which included a dialogue between Ishihara and Miyata, was released.[32] Miyata is a longtime fan of Ishihara and had previously invited her as a guest in Hinatazaka46's radio program.[33]
