Madison Bailey
Madison Lilly Bailey is an American actress. She is known for her starring role as Kiara Carrera on the Netflix teen drama series Outer Banks.[1]

Early life
Bailey was born in Kernersville, North Carolina, United States, and was raised in Charleston. She has an older half brother Orion Bailey, an older half sister Trinity Bailey, an younger half brother Meraki, an younger sister Kendra Bailey and brother Michael Bailey.[2][3] She has three brothers and three sisters.[3] She is of African and Italian ancestry, and was adopted by white parents. Her adoptive mother died in 2018; she and her two sisters have a tattoo in honor of her memory.[4][3][5] Bailey attended East Forsyth High School in Kernersville.[6]
Bailey was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder when she was 18.[7][8]
Career
Bailey originally wanted to be a singer, but transitioned to acting and modeling at age 15 after suffering stage fright while singing in front of people.[9] She began her professional acting career in 2015, appearing in TV series such as Mr. Mercedes and Constantine. In 2018, she was cast as Wendy Hernandez, a teenage metahuman with the ability to control and manipulate the air, in the CW science fiction TV series Black Lightning, a role she played for two seasons.
Since 2020, she has portrayed Kiara "Kie" Carrera on the Netflix mystery drama Outer Banks.[10]
