Its private labels, as well their own brands, are distributed in Africa, Russia, Europe and in the UK. The company manages tea packing plants in Kolkata, Coimbatore, Guwahati and also a unit in Vladivostok, Russia.[2] It is certified with ISO 22000, Hazard analysis and critical control points or HACCP, BRC(Grade A), KOSHER (U&C), Halal, SA8000, GSV, and IFS(Higher Level).
History
Madhu Jayanti was founded in 1942 by the late Jayantilal Shah. In 1980, it became a pioneer in value added exports. By 1985, they pioneered the teabag export business from India.[3]

Spread and operations
Madhu Jayanti operates with 7 factories across 3 countries and employs over 200 people in 15 locations worldwide. It serves around 10 million cups of tea across 42 countries a day.
Recent Acquisition
Madhu Jayanti International Private Ltd (MJIL) acquired Eveready Industries packet tea business at around 6 crore. It will help the group to become a pan-India player from its current presence in only two states.
While MJIL’s Rs 55-crore packet tea business is limited to Maharashtra and Karnataka, Eveready’s three tea brands are sold in 14 states such as Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, among others.
