Rail
- There are currently no operational railway crossings between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Khyber Pass Railway which connects Pakistan with Afghanistan was suspended due to security problems and the 2006 monsoon season rains in the Khyber Pass washed away significant sections of the railway. The track as of today is closed for all types of railway traffic. In June 2019 the Pakistan minister for railway Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said that Pakistan Railways was planning to lay new railway track from Peshawar to Jalalabad. While talking to media persons he also said Pakistan railways was also planning to lay railway track from Chaman to Qandahar which would connect Pakistan and Afghanistan and boost business activities.[7]
