Li Bing (Northern Zhou)

Li Bing (李昞;–572), was an official of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, during Northern and Southern dynasties period. He was the father of Li Yuan, the founding emperor of Tang dynasty.

His father, Li Hu (李虎), served as a major general under Western Wei's general Yuwen Tai, and was created the Duke of Longxi in 554.Li Bing inherited his father title.Li Bing became the Duke of Tang (唐國公) in September 564.[1][2] His posthumously title was Duke of Tangren (唐仁公).[3]

After Li Yuan became emperor, he was granted the title of Emperor Shizu (世祖皇帝).[4]
