Lesslie Viguerie
Lesslie Clay Viguerie[1] is an American diplomat who is the nominee to serve as the United States ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.

Education
Viguerie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and affairs from George Washington University in 1982 and a Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America.[2]
Career
A career member of the United States Foreign Service, Viguerie has served in embassies in New Delhi, Kabul, Tashkent, Moscow, and Porto Alegre. He has also served in the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, as well as the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs and Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.[3][4]
Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan
On February 25, 2022, President Joe Biden nominated Viguerie to serve as the United States ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.[5] His nomination is pending before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.[6]
Personal life
Viguerie speaks Russian, Hindi, and Portuguese.
