Lasch-Tayaba

Lasch-Tayaba (Russian: Лащ-Таяба; Chuvash: Лаш Таяпа is a rural locality (a village) in Lasch-Tayaba Rural Settlement of Yalchiksky District of the Chuvash Republic, Russia, located 18 kilometers (11 mi) west of Lake Yalchik, the administrative center of the district. Population: 1036 (2012 est.)[1][2].

The Lashci River flows through the village.

Infrastructure

The facilities in Lasch-Tayaba include a club, a library, a first-aid post, and a store.

The Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos was built in the village in 1840.

Also in the village there is a kennel "Dog hunting-Akar». In winter, the Knyazev Brothers hunting biathlon is held.

The climate is moderately continental, with long cold winters and warm summers. Average January temperature is −12.9 °C (8.8 °F); average July temperature is +18.3 °C (64.9 °F). Record low of −44 °C (−47 °F) was recorded in 1979, and the record high was +37 °C (99 °F). Average annual precipitation is up to 552 millimeters (21.7 in).
