Kian

Kian (Persian: كيان, romanized: Kīān), also known as Shahr-e-Kian (Persian: شهر کیان, romanized: Shahr-e Kīān), is a city in the Central District of Shahrekord County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran. At the 2016 census, its population was 12,948.[2] The city is populated by Turkic people.[3]

Name

Before it had been called "Sorkhe Laar", which later became known as the "Shahrak"[4] and in the last few decades called "Kian".
