Karthikeya 2

Karthikeya 2 is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language supernatural mystery thriller film written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Produced by Abhishek Agarwal and TG Vishwa Prasad under the Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory banners, Karthikeya 2 serves as a sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya. The film stars Nikhil Siddharth and Anupama Parameswaran.

Development

The film was announced in 2017 by Nikhil through Twitter saying that it would commence from the end of 2018.[2] However due to delays from his previous film Arjun Suravaram, the film was officially launched in March 2020.[3][4][5]

Filming

Principal photography commenced in February 2021 and was shot in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.[6][7] However in March 2021 filming was stalled due to Nikhil suffering a leg injury.[8] Filming then resumed in April 2021.[9] In March 2022, the makers travelled to Spain, Portugal and Greece for the final schedule.[10]

Soundtrack

The film score and soundtrack album of the film is composed by Kaala Bhairava. The music rights were acquired by Zee Music Company.

Theatrical

In April 2022, it was announced that the film was going to release on 22 July 2022.[11][12]

Home Media

The satellite rights and digital distribution rights were acquired by Zee Telugu and ZEE5.[13]
