Jetisu Region

Jetisu or Zhetysu Region is a prospective region of Kazakhstan. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced on 16 March 2022 that the region will be created. The area will be split off from Almaty Region. The administrative center of the region will be Taldykorgan, and the center of Almaty Region will be moved to Kapchagay.[1]
