Jamilya (Russian: Джамиля) is a 1968 Soviet drama film directed by Sergei Yutkevich and Irina Poplavskaya.[1][2]

The film is based on the 1958 novel Jamila by Chingiz Aitmatov.

Plot

The film takes place during the Great Patriotic War in the Kyrgyz aul. The film tells about a married woman named Jamilya and her love for the front-line soldier Daniyar.[3]
