Italians a Go-Go

"Italians a Go-Go" is a song by the Italian Italo disco duo Righeira, released on 24 May 1986 as the lead single of their second studio album Bambini Forever. It was co-written by singers Stefano Righi and Stefano Rota, producers Michelangelo and Carmelo La Bionda and songwriter Sergio Conforti.[1] It was also released in West Germany as a single, with "Oasi in città" as its B-side.[2]

Righeira participated in the Festivalbar singing competition with "Italians a Go-Go" in 1986 but didn't meet the same success as they had done the year earlier when they won the competition with "L'estate sta finendo".[3]

Release

"Italians a Go-Go" was released on 24 May 1986 in Italy and eventually became a hit shortly after its release.[4] It was the first out of four singles to be included on Righeira's second studio album Bambini Forever (1986), which was released in Italy on 23 June 1986.[5] The first version of "Italians a Go-Go" released as a single in May 1986 was backed with "3-D" on the B-side.[6]
