Indian Telephone Industries Limited
ITI Limited, earlier known as Indian Telephone Industries Limited, is a government-owned telecommunications equipment manufacturer in India. It is under the ownership of Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications , Government of India. It was founded in 1948 as a departmental factory, incorporated as a public company in 1950 and today has six manufacturing facilities at Bengaluru, Naini, Mankapur, Raebareli, Palakkad and Srinagar which produce a range of switching, transmission, access and subscriber premises equipment.[4] It is headquartered at Bengaluru. It has multi-locational electronic assembly and mechanical manufacturing facilities, countrywide marketing and customer support centers and in-house R&D for absorption of technology, indigenous development of products for in-house manufacturing.

It produces GSM mobile equipments at its Mankapur and Raebareli facilities.[5] These two facilities supply more than nine million lines per annum to both domestic as well as foreign markets. The Palakkad unit is responsible for data handling with assembly and personalization of smart cards and electronic manufacturing facilities for PCB's, HDPE Pipe, Smart Energy Meters, Micro PC under Smart City Mission etc. It also produces Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipments such as network management systems, encryption and networking for internet connectivity, and secure communications networks and equipment for the defense. The company has above 2500 employees as in February, 2022.[6]
ITI India

ITI Limited has recently entered the security and surveillance market by launching REIT India brand.[7] According to the reports, REIT brand is the first Government of India undertaking brand that will provide digital security services to every citizen of India. The main services to be provided by REIT India are CCTV surveillance, GPS tracking, Cloud surveillance systems, Smart School Program and IOT services.[8] REIT will also provide services for Jammu Suraksha Yojana, a joint initiative by Jammu Municipal Corporation and ITI Limited for the citizens of Jammu.[9]
NPR Enrolment
ITI has been assigned the job of biometric enrolment for the project of National Population Register under aegis of Registrar General of India to cover entire population above 5 years of age residing in India in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Goa, Gujarat, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.[10][11]
