Hippolyte Copaux

Hippolyte Eugène Copaux (March 9, 1872, in Paris – August 28, 1934, in Etampes) was a French chemist, best known for his work in inorganic chemistry, crystallography, and for determining the physical properties of metallic cobalt. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1923, being promoted to officer in 1933. He served as director of studies at ESPCI from 1926 to 1934.[1][2][3][4][5]
