Club career

Henriksen started his career with his hometown club, FK Mjølner. Then he joined Chicago Sting in the North American Soccer League,[2] before spending most of his career in French football, playing for both Le Havre AC, CS Meaux on loan, then Valenciennes,[lower-alpha 1] Guingamp, SC Abbeville, Angoulême and ES Viry-Châtillon.[4][5]

International career

He played in 22 matches for Norway in 1984–1988, but he did not participate in a major tournament, despite he played in the 1986 World Cup, Euro 1988 and 1990 World Cup qualifiers.[1] Henriksen is – along with Hallvar Thoresen, Dan Eggen, Espen Baardsen, Alf-Inge Håland and Joshua King – among the few players to have played for the Norwegian national team without ever playing in the domestic top division.

Later career

Back in his hometown, Henriksen trained Narvik FK and FK Mjølner, also worked as a secondary school teacher.
