Guido Meardi

Guido Meardi is an Italian engineer, businessman, CEO and co-founder of V-NOVA, UK based deep-tech company that developed high-efficiency international data coding standards.[1][2][3] Guido was ranked 24th among the Telegraph's 2020 top 100 UK Tech Entrepreneurs,[4][5] and listed in TVBEurope's 2021 list of 25 people to watch in the media technology industry.[6]

Former partner at McKinsey & Company and serial entrepreneur with engineering and scientific expertise,[7] he was joint inventor of many essential aspects of V-Nova's technologies and standards, with over a hundred patents co-authored and filed.[8][9] He was co-author of the ISO/IEC MPEG-5 Part 2 Low Complexity Enhancement Video Coding (LCEVC) standard, and he personally edited large portions of it.[10] Among his non-profit roles, Guido is the member of the Board of Directors of Nova – Italian MBA Association[11] and member of the Board of Governors of the Advanced Imaging Society.[12]
