Greg Hill (author)
Greg Hill (Gregory Walter Hill and Soapy Argyle) is an American musician, illustrator and author. He is best known for this novel, East of Denver.
Personal
Hill was raised in Eastern Colorado. He lives and works in Denver, Colorado and Joes, Colorado.
In 2013, Hill received the Colorado Book Award for his novel, East of Denver. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] , which was published in 2012. HIll also does graphics art work on concert promotional posters and CD inserts. Hill's novel The Lonesome Trials of Johnny Riles won the Leapfrog Press Global Fiction Prize Contest in 2014. . It was published in 2015.
Music career
Hill has recorded several solo albums and performed in bands including: The Shivers, Mr. Tree and the Wingnuts,[10] Marty Jones and the Pork Boilin' Po' Boys, The Rugburns in Mono, The Orangu-Tones,[11] Six Months to Live, The Spider Kings, and the Babysitters.[12] Hill plays the guitar, saxophone, piano, sitar, banjo, vocals, harmonica, and bass.
On his record label, Sparky the Dog, Hill has recorded several projects for Denver musicians. The label has also organized four holiday compilations.[13]
