Announcement and Inauguration

On 24 July 2016, the-present-day Honble Union Railway Minister Mr.Suresh Babu announced the India's First Green Rail Corridor on Manamadurai - Rameswaram line for the first time in Southern Railways Madurai Division[1][2].It is a 114 km line stretch .
