Generation Ami

Generation Ami (stylised as: Generation আমি) is a 2018 Bengali drama film directed by Mainak Bhaumik, which stars Rwitobroto Mukherjee and Sauraseni Maitra in lead roles.[1] The film was produced under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films[2]

Plot

This is the story of teenager Arunava Bose who lacks confidence. Arunava along with his family lives in Kolkata. One day his cousin Durga comes from Delhi to live with them. She is charming and rebellious and hates the so called societal hypocrisy. Although Durga herself is depressed but she is also the source of inspiration for Arunava. She changes his attitude towards life.

Release

The film released on 23 November 2018. It was well-received by the audience and critics alike.[3][4] It performed moderately well at the box office. It remained the top-reigning film in its opening week.[5][6]
