Feather mite
Feather mites of the family Analgoidea is a diverse group of strongly stenoxenous parasites counting more than 2000 different species in more than 20 families.[1]

Feather mites are the members of diverse mite superfamilies:
- superorder Acariformes
- Psoroptidia[2]
- Analgoidea[3]
- Freyanoidea
- Pterolichoidea
- Psoroptidia[2]
- superorder Parasitiformes
They are ectoparasites on birds, hence the common name.
Treatments with pyrethrin or carbaryl powder have been described.[4]
