Fairfax County Republican Committee

The Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC) is the local arm of the Republican Party in Fairfax County, Virginia, the largest county in the Commonwealth. The Fairfax GOP, located in an area dominated by Democrats, assists in the election of Republican candidates for local, state, and national office. Its counterpart is the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.

Involvement in January 6th Insurrection Attempt

On January 6, 2021, a violent mob attacked the Capitol Building in Washington, DC, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, over 600 criminal charges, and the second impeachment of former President Donald J. Trump. In attendance at the attempted insurrection was FCRC Vice Chair Vinson Palathingal.[2][3] His involvement in the assault on the Capitol Building is unknown and charges were never filed against Palathingal.
