Esmehan Hanımsultan

Esmehan Hanımsultan was daughter Şah Sultan and Lütfi Paşa, and granddaughter of Sultan Selim I.[1]

Biography

She was only child of her parents. In 1540s, she was married to some Hüseyn Pasha with whom she had two daughters:

  • Neslıhan Hanımsultan; married, often confused as the daughter of Şah Sultan
  • Vasfıhan Hanımsultan; married to Küçük Ömer Ağa, with whom she had a son, Ahmed Bey.[2][3]

Death

When she died in 1556,she was buried in her mother's tomb which was completed by the same year.
