Family

Mustaine is the daughter of heavy metal musician Dave Mustaine, lead vocalist of Megadeth, and Pamela Anne Casselberry.[2] She was born in Scottsdale, Arizona[3] on January 28, 1998, six years after her older brother, Justis.

Career

Electra Mustaine is a pop recording artist and songwriter with latest 2021 releases "Society Talk" and debut single "Evergreen". She began her career performing in musical theater troupes and at small festivals. Her credibility as a songwriter began in Nashville where she penned early country songs, and later led to writing EDM, hip-hop, and finally pop songs including her most successful "Just Us" which was cut by EDM artist Said The Sky feat. Yuppycult, Electra Mustaine. Her notoriety as a singer grew with a powerful performance at the 2016 CMA Music Festival and continued to blossom in the years following as she garnered massive attention for viral renditions of Megadeth songs “A Tout le Monde” and “I Thought I Knew It All” and ghost feature with Danish recording artist CALVIN's "By My Side." Electra has begun to hone in on a unique identity as a musician, eschewing genre expectations and pursuing a sharp edged exploration of modern pop in lieu of sticking to her metal and country beginnings. Her 2021 releases “Evergreen” and “Society Talk” along with a deconstructed cover of Garbage classic “I Think I’m Paranoid” were well received by critics and fans alike, paving the way for a full length release in 2022. She has received accolades from tastemakers like SPIN Magazine, PopCrush, Loudwire, Rolling Stone, Idobi Radio and Consequence of Sound while building a rabid following on TikTok and Instagram. "We all have that little rebellious streak about us. Early on, I committed to really being my own person outside of my fathers legacy” says Electra. “I’ve stepped away from the identity that was my father's by doing something opposite musically and creatively, but authentic to me!”

Electra continues to make philanthropic work a focus by partnering with organizations like Humanility where she teaches vocal lessons to children and the Alzheimer's Association to raise awareness and funds with several live stream performances and other charitable giving initiatives.

Early life

Mustaine moved to Fallbrook, California at an early age and was active in the local acting & musical theater community at age 7. Electra became the co-host of Animal Planet's TV show, Faithful Friends "Itty Bitty Buddy" segment with WWE wrestler Bill Goldberg's wife, Wanda for all four seasons it aired. Mustaine then began performing at fairgrounds San Diego County and small venues in the area. In 2013, she performed a cover of her father's band's song, "A Tout le Monde" by Megadeth on Seattle's KING-TV and having a benefit concert for the Ward 57 Wounded Warrior Project to raise funds for wounded veterans and their families.[4]

In 2016, Mustaine released her own rendition of "I Thought I Knew It All", a Megadeth song from the album Youthanasia, and her first original composition, "Life Is Good" written by Electra Mustaine, Nathan Chapman, and Blair Daly. She also performed at the 2016 CMA Music Festival.[3]
