Richmond Ekow Barnes known by the name Ekow Barnes is a Ghanaian fashion writer & producer based in Ghana. Ekow specializes in fashion writing and producing content in Africa.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Ekow hails from the Western Region of Ghana.[4] He attended the Ghana Secondary Technical School for his senior high school education and then proceeded to the Bluecrest College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Image Management.[5]

Career

Ekow started his career at Strategic Communications Africa (Stratcomm Africa) as a PR Intern a role he held for 4 years and 6 months. He later became a Fashion consultant at Will & Barnes, a fashion consultancy in Accra for a period of 2 years. He has also worked as a model for some fashion brands.[6][7][8]

Ekow has over 20 publications from different magazines and editorials across continents. He has worked on numerous projects involving brands like Facebook, Burberry, Emirates Airlines, Mercedes Benz, Essence, Glamour Magazine, Uber, Chiip 0 Neal [9] and any more.[10]

Ekow recently produced a campaign for New Balance football boots for Senegalese player Sadio Mane for the recent AFCON tournament.[11]
