Dr. Ambedkar Nagar–Sanawad Passenger

Dr. Ambedkar Nagar - Omkareshwar Road Passenger is a metre-gauge passenger train of the Indian Railways, which runs between Dr. Ambedkar Nagar railway station in Madhya Pradesh and Omkareshwar Road railway station in Madhya Pradesh. It is being operated with 52963/52964, 52975/52976, 52973/5297 train numbers, which runs three times in a day.

This is the last surviving metre-gauge train of the Akola–Ratlam line. Once its tracks are finished as board-gauge tracks, they will provide connectivity between Indore and Southern Indian states.[1][2][3] [4][5][6] [7]

Traction

Both trains are hauled by a Mhow Loco Shed based YDM-4 diesel locomotive from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to Omkareshwar Road and vice versa. Banker locomotive is attached from Kalakund to Patalpani due to steep incline .
