DiscussingFilm Critics Awards
The DiscussingFilm Critics Awards is an annual event honoring the best in film.
Though it is organized by film website DiscussingFilm, the awards are voted on by film critics from various film industry magazines from around the world (including Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Empire and TheWrap),[1] awards pundits (including AwardsWatch),[2] and others whom DiscussingFilm describes as "influential voices".[3]
The DiscussingFilm Critics Association began awarding the best in film in 2019/20.[2] By 2022, the association had over 50 members. The first two awards ceremonies were held online; becoming more formalized in its third awards event in 2022, awards pundits expected it to gain prominence in the critics' award season.[1]
