Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan

Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan is an Indian politician and serving as Minister of State for Communications of India. He is member of parliament to the 17th Lok Sabha from Kheda (Lok Sabha constituency), Gujarat. He won the 2014 Indian general election being a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.[2]

Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan was born on 29 Oct 1964 in Navagam, Kheda, Gujarat. He did his Diploma Course in Electrical Engineering from the Government Polytechnic College in Porbandar (Gujarat). From 1989 to 2002, Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan worked as an engineer with All India Radio (AIR). He is currently a parliament member to the 17th Lok Sabha from Kheda (Lok Sabha constituency), Gujarat. In [3]

The Union Minister of State for Communications and Kheda MP Shri Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan has obtained his Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the government Polytechnic College in Porbandar(Gujarat). He worked as an engineer in Akashvani Kendra as a government servant for 13 years before starting his journey as a public figure. He resigned from government service in 2002 and entered politics to serve the people of India. To get acquainted with rural life of the Matar Constituency and understand their problems he constantly toured the villages and met people from all walks of life. He always stood by the people in all kinds of difficulties, be it extreme rains or natural catastrophes and admonished the authorities and wherever necessary fasted to death for the rights of the common man. The people of Matar found a passionate and righteous leader to follow and rely on. In 2007, the now PM of India Shri Narendra Modi put his faith in Devusinhji Chauhan and selected him to contest the election from Matar constituency of Kheda district seat which he won and became the MLA of Matar for the very first time. In 2009, he contested the loksabha elections from the Kheda seat. In 2012, he was re-elected as the MLA of Matar under the leadership of BJP.

In the year 2014, he was finally elected as the Member of Parliament for the 16th Lok Sabha elections from Kheda seat as a BJP candidate. From the year 2016 till 2020 he was also the BJP president of Kheda district and had successfully handled his role of being an MP as well as the responsibilities of his party and its workers. In 2016, he was also selected for a short course at King's College, London by the British High Commissioner. He was re-elected as an MP for Kheda Lok Sabha Constituency in 2019. Since 2015, he has served as a member of Water Resort Committee and I.T. Committee. He is also served on various committees like standing committee of Defence and Ministry of Food Processing Industries. He has also assumed various responsibilities for the Party as a party worker for the state and district during elections and various programs.
