Delphi Falls (waterfall)

Delphi Falls is a two-tiered waterfall located in the 60 acres (24 ha) Delphi Falls Park on East Branch Limestone Creek southeast of Delphi Falls and west-southwest of Union. The lower falls are 62 feet (19 m) tall, while the upper are 54 feet (16 m). Previously privately owned and closed to the public, in 2018 a retired professor at Syracuse University who lived in Manlius, New York, contributed $750,000 and Madison County $150,000 to purchase 60 acres (24 ha) of land and make the falls open to the public.[1][2] Delphi Falls County Park was developed and opened in August 2018.[3][4] In 2018 Madison County was awarded a $500,000 grant for park improvements.[5] The park was closed for a week in July 2020 after repeated violations of park rules.[6]
