Dawlat al-Islam Qamat

Dawlat al-Islam Qamat (Arabic: دولة الاسلام قامت; English: The Islamic State Stood Up), also known by its English name My Ummah, Dawn Has Appeared, is a jihadi nasheed (chant) which became an unofficial anthem of the Islamic State.[1] It was released in December 2013 and soon became their most popular song.[1] The American magazine The New Republic referred to it as the most influential song of 2014.[2]

دولة الاسلام قامت

National anthem of Islamic State
Adopted2013

The chant is a capella apart from sound effects of swords being drawn, feet stomping, and gunfire.[1] The lyrics begin: "My Ummah, Dawn has appeared, so await the expected victory. The Islamic State has arisen by the blood of the righteous."[1]

It was produced by the Ajnad Media Foundation, which produces most IS songs.[1] The song has also been used by the Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram to accompany speeches.[1]

The chant is frequently removed from internet websites, such as SoundCloud and YouTube due to violating the policies of the sites and its connections with IS.
