Chief minister (Nepal)

In Nepal, a chief minister (Nepali: मुख्यमन्त्री) is the elected head of government of each of the seven provinces. The chief minister is appointed by the governor (Nepali: प्रदेश प्रमुख) of the provinces according to Article 167 of the Constitution of Nepal.[1] The term of office of a Chief of Province shall be five years.

Qualification

A person who has the following qualification can be qualified to become the Chief of Province: they must be at least 35 years old, eligible to serve in the parliament and not disqualified for any legal reason.[2]
