Chermen Valiev

Chermen Askharbekovich Valiev (Russian: Чермен Ахсарбекович Валиев, Ossetian: Уалыты Æхсарбеджы фырт Чермен; born June 5, 1999, in North Ossetia-Alania) is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Ossetian descent who competes at 74 kilograms.[1] Valiev currently holds the degree of Master of Sports[2] in freestyle wrestling. Valiev first rose to prominence when he became the Russian National Champion in 2020, by defeating World Champion and teammate, David Baev.[3] After achieving mixed results at 70 kg, Valiev moved up to 74 kg and captured both the U23 European,[4][5] and the U23 World titles.[6][7][8]
