Burling

Burling is a surname with English origins, more specifically it derives from Essex and Cambridgeshire a habitational name from a place in Kent named Birling. It was an Old English personal name of Burla with the suffix 'ingas' denoting ‘family or followers'.[1] It was also used in the play The inspector calls with the billing family.
