Bullard-Havens Technical High School

Bullard-Havens Technical High School, or Bullard-Havens Tech, is a technical high school, part of the Connecticut Technical High School System. Located at the east end of Bridgeport, it serves the region of southwestern Connecticut.[1] The school attracts students from all over the state due to its extensive Career and Technical Education programs and rigorous academics. Each student has the opportunity to participate in athletics, activities and Work-Based Learning programs.

Adult Education

Bullard-Havens Tech offers many different adult education programs to choose from. Bullard-Havens strives to provide a unique and rigorous post-secondary learning environment that prepares students for immediate employment or the foundation to further their education. They currently offer the following full-time adult education programs:

  • Apprenticeship and Extension Courses
  • Certified Nurse Assistant
  • Licensed Practical Nurse

History

In 2017 Roxanne Amiot, a member of the teaching staff, and herself the first woman to graduate from the school's auto shop program, won a $30,000 prize, for her and the school, for Teaching Excellence.[4]

In 2018 the school's automotive technology programs won them the WIX Filters and Tomorrow's Tech magazine "School of the Year" award. [5]
