Bolesławiec, Łódź Voivodeship

Bolesławiec [bɔlɛˈswavjɛt͡s] (German: Klein Buntzlau, 1943-45 Bolkenburg) is a village in Wieruszów County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Bolesławiec. It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south of Wieruszów and 110 km (68 mi) south-west of the regional capital Łódź.[1]

A monument in Kiryat Shaul Cemetery in Tel Aviv, in memory of the Jews of the Bolesławiec community and other communities in the area who were murdered in the Holocaust

The Jews of Bolesławiec

Before World War II, more than 500 Jews lived in Bolsward. Until August 1941, the village's Jews were murdered in the Holocaust, and some were deported to larger Jewish concentrations in the area, and they too were eventually murdered[2].
