Bindaas (2008 film)
Bindaas (transl. Independent) is a Kannada language romantic comedy action film directed by D. Rajendra Babu and Produced by M.Chandrashekar. Puneeth Rajkumar played the male lead while Hansika Motwani played the female lead, marking her Kannada debut and only Kannada film as of 2020. The film was released on 15 February 2008[1][2] The film was dubbed in Telugu as Pandugadu , in Hindi as Be Happy Bindaas and in Bhojpuri as Baazi. It was also reported to have been dubbed in Malayalam.[3] The movie was remade in Bhojpuri in 2012 as Hero - the first Kannada movie to be remade in Bhojpuri.[4]

Synopsis
ACP Vikram Rathod uses the services of a pickpocketer and martial artist named Shiva to encounter to capture Saleem Bhai, who is the most wanted terrorist. He joins Saleem Bhai and manages to capture him. but Vikram Rathod frames him as a dreaded gangster in order to separate him from his daughter Preeti, who is in love with him.

Gurukiran composed the film score and the soundtrack, lyrics for which was penned by Kaviraj and V. Nagendra Prasad. The soundtrack album consists of five tracks.[5] It was released on 2 January 2008 in Bangalore.[6]
