History
Newspaper Bicol Standard was established in 1992 by longtime journalist Gil Basmayor, Jr.[1]
In December 2017, it reached over 21,000,000 views on its website after being online for just three years—an unprecedented feat in the history of the Bicol region.[2]
The newspaper is a regional partner of philstar.com [3] and 91.9 BBS DWLV FM.
