Both trains are hauled by a Kazipet-based WDM-3A diesel locomotive from Bhavnagar to Vijayawada Junction. From Vijayawada trains are hauled by a Vijayawada-based WAP-4 electric locomotive from Vijayawada Junction to Kakinada Port and vice versa.
