The species can be found in Sri Lanka, India, Tibet, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Belitung, Bangka Island, southern China and Hainan Island.[3][4]
The host plants of the larva include: Castanea mollissima, Diospyros kaki, Malus pumila, Pistacia chinensis, Prunus armeniaca, Prunus persica, Pyrus serotina and Quercus variabilis.[3]
