Australian College of Applied Psychology

The Australian College of Applied Professions (ACAP) is a registered training organisation and higher education provider that specialises in teaching courses in psychology, counselling, coaching, case management and people management. The courses are offered at three award levels: Vocational Education and Training (VET), Undergraduate and Postgraduate. ACAP is accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and accredited with conditions by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). APAC defines "accredited with conditions" as "A program is granted accredited with conditions when: (a) it meets most of the Accreditation Standards, and those not met at the time of assessment are likely to be met within the time specified by APAC. (b) a higher education provider makes changes to its program and/or its supporting resources after the accreditation process such that the program no longer meets the Standards, and the Standards not met at the time of assessment are likely to be met within the time specified by APAC."

ACAP has been in operation since 1983 and has campuses in four cities, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It also offers courses via flexible delivery which allows students to study online. ACAP has changed its name from Australian College of Applied Psychology to Australian College of Applied Professions.
