Early career

Ricci, born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, played for the St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School Lions, winning gold at OFSAA with a 2–1 win over St. Edmund Campion Secondary School in Windsor, Ontario on June 7, 2014.[1][2]

Ricci also later played for the Oakland Golden Grizzlies of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan from 2014–2017.[3]

In 2014 and 2015, he appeared for Vaughan Azzurri in League1 Ontario.[4] He played for the Michigan Bucks in the Premier Development League in 2017[5] and 2018.[6] He then returned to play with Vaughan Azzurri in 2018.[7]

York9

On 14 December 2018, Ricci signed his first professional contract with Canadian Premier League side York9.[8] On 27 April 2019, he made his debut in the inaugural CPL match against Forge FC.[9] He made nine league appearances and two in the Canadian Championship that season.[9] On 15 November 2019, the club announced that Ricci would not be returning for the 2020 season.[10]

Valour FC

On 10 July 2020, Ricci signed with Winnipeg club Valour FC.[11] In the shortened 2020 season, Ricci played in 6 out of Valour's 7 games, but was unable to score as his team failed to advance to the playoffs. The 2021 season turned out better, however. Valour started out strong, and Ricci Scored 5 goals in 16 CPL matchs. Additionally, he was the top goalscorer in the Canadian Championship, with 3 goals. However, his season was cut short after he was injured in a collision with Forge goalkeeper Triston Henry.[12]
