Synopsis

In 2010, Arjun Shergill (John Abraham) is on a mission to capture a terrorist named Rehman Gul (Habib Al Aidroos). He saves a young suicide bomber and is also able to capture Rehman Gul as well.

12 years later, while traveling in a flight, Arjun meets an air hostess named Ayesha (Jacqueline Fernandez) and falls in love with her. When both of them are about to take their relationship further, a terrorist attack at the airport kills Ayesha and leaves Arjun badly injured. Arjun is wheel-chair bound, with movement only in his neck. Through the news, he finds out that the attacker of the airport was Hamid Gul (Elham Ehsas), the son of Rehman Gul and the suicide bomber he saved 12 years back. He realises that the attack on the airport was arranged by Hamid Gul to take revenge of his father beacause Indian Army captured his father. The Indian Intelligence Chief, V. K. Subramaniam (Prakash Raj), comes up with the idea of introducing supersoldiers, operated by robotic and artificial means, in the Indian Army to save lives in times of war. These supersoldiers will be designed by Dr. Sabaha Qureshi (Rakul Preet Singh). Subramanium chooses Arjun for this mission as a trial participant, but while going through the process surgically, his chances of survival are shown to be minimal. Arjun manages to survive the on-boarding process and successfully turns into a supersoldier. He operates under the command of the Intelligence Robotic Assistant (IRA) chip, designed and implanted by Sabaha.
