Andriy Hitchenko

Andriy Ihorovych Hitchenko (Ukrainian: Андрій Ігорович Гітченко; born 2 October 1984) is a professional Ukrainian football defender who plays for Polissya Zhytomyr in the Ukrainian First League.

Clubs

Desna Chernihiv

On the 2018 he moved back again to Desna Chernihiv[1][2] the main club in Chernihiv in Ukrainian Premier League. With FC Desna Chernihiv got also into the Quarterfinals of the Ukrainian Cup in season 2019–20.

On Saturday, the main football club of Chernihiv region in the face of the northern architecture of "Desna" Andriy Hitchenko awarded the winners of the children's football tournament from Bezuhlivka from the Nizhyn district.[3]

In Ukrainian Premier League in the season 2019–20 get into the play-offs of Championship round. On n 28 June 2020 he scored the winning goal against Dynamo Kyiv.[4] and has been elected Best Player of the Round 28.[5]

On 12 July 2020 during the play off of Championship round table he scored against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Stadion Yuri Gagarin.[6]

Andriy Hitchenko with the club qualified for the Europa League third qualifying round, for the first time in the history of the club.[7]

On 14 August 2020, he extended his contract with Desna for 1 year.[8]

On 24 September Hitchenko was included in the team of Desna Chernihiv against VfL Wolfsburg for the Europa League third qualifying round at the AOK Stadion.[9] Hitchenko got 21 place in the Ukrainian Footballer of the Year in 2020[10]

On 26 February 2021 he scored against Inhulets Petrove in Ukrainian Premier League at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium ended 3-0 for Desna.[11]

On 5 May 2021, he played as captain due the Vladyslav Ohirya absent and he scored the goal against Vorskla Poltava at the Butovsky Vorskla Stadium in Poltava for the Ukrainian Premier League season 2020–21.[12] He was included in the symbolic team of the 25th round of the Ukrainian championship of the Favbet League.[13]

In summer 2021, his contract was expired with Desna Chernihiv becoming the club with most appearances in his career.

Polissya Zhytomyr

On 1 July 2021 he moved to Polissya Zhytomyr in Ukrainian First League.[14][15] On 7 August 2021 he scored his first goal with the new club against Kremin.[16] On 31 August he scored his second goal in the Ukrainian Cup in the season 2021–22 against Alians Lypova Dolyna.[17][18] On 31 August he played in the Ukrainian Cup in the season 2021–22 against Obolon Kyiv for the third preliminary round, replacing Andriy Nesterov at the 46 minute.[19] He has been included in the team of the third round of Ukrainian First League of the season 2021-22.[20] On 17 September 2021 he scored away against Metalist Kharkiv in Ukrainian First League in the season 2021-22.[21] On 17 November 2021 he scored away against VPK-Ahro Shevchenkivka at the 8 minute of the first half in Ukrainian First League in the season 2021-22.[22]
