Amal Ghandour

Amal Ghandour is a Lebanese writer, blogger and communication strategist. She has a BS degree from Georgetown University and an MS from Stanford University. She is best known for her critically acclaimed book About this Man Called Ali: The Purple Life of an Arab Artist.[1] The book is an exploration of the life and times of the artist Ali Al Jabri who was murdered in 2002.

Ghandour is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Human Rights Fund. She also sits on the Advisory Board of the Gerhardt Center at the American University of Cairo.[2]
