Alcoa House (Portland, Oregon)
The Alcoa House, or Alcoa Care-free Home, was a historic building in southwest Portland, Oregon designed by Charles M. Goodman. The 1957 single-story rectangular structure, built primarily of aluminum, was one of 24 Alcoa Care-free model homes in the United States. The house was demolished in September 2021, after being sold for $880,000 in December 2020.[1] Previously, the house was available for sale in 2016.[2]
