Alan Taylor (football coach)
Alan Taylor (born on 17 May 1943), is an English football coach and former player who is currently the coach of the Cook Islands national team as of 2022.

Biography
Alan Taylor was born in Thornton-Cleveleys, England on 17 May 1943.
As a player, he had played as a goalkeeper for Blackpool FC from 1963 to 1971, and Southport FC from 1971 to 1974 in the English Football League.
In 2000, Taylor had been appointed as the coach for the Cook Islands national team to participate at the 2000 OFC Nations Cup in Tahiti, where his first match suffered in a massive 17–0 loss to Australia on 19 June 2000.
In February 2011, he became the coach of the University of Stirling FC based in Scotland. He coached that team until June 2014.
In 2022, Taylor was reappointed as the coach for Cook Islands to participate in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.[4] On 17 March, he officially appeared in a match against Solomon Islands in a 0–2 defeat.[5]
