Afgekia
Afgekia is a small genus of large perennial climbing shrubs native to Thailand in Asia, belonging to the family Fabaceae.[1]

The genus was named from the initials of Arthur Francis George Kerr (1877–1942), an Irish-born plant collector who worked in then-Siam in the early twentieth century.[5] It was first described and published in Bull. Misc. Inform. Kew 1927 on page 376.[1]
The genus is recognized by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Agricultural Research Service, but they only list Afgekia sericea Craib.[6]
