Adaa Khan

Adaa Khan (born 12 May 1989) is an Indian television actress and model .[1] She is known for portraying Akashi in Behenein, Amrit in Amrit Manthan, Shesha in Naagin and Sitara in Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara. In 2020, she participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10.

Early life

Khan was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on 12 May 1989.[1] Her mother Parvin Khan died from cancer in March 2013.[3][4]

Career

Khan began her career as a model.[5] Then she did several advertisements.[6][7][8]

Post modelling and advertisements, Khan decided to start her acting career in television.[1] In 2009, she debuted into Hindi television industry playing the role of Vigya, the female lead's friend in Sony Entertainment Television show Palampur Express.[9]

In February 2010, Khan bagged Star Plus's new show (at that time) Behenein.[10] It centers around the story of four rich and beautiful sisters.[11] She was cast opposite Manoj Mishra as Aakashi Shastri, the third sister and a parallel lead.[12][13] It ended in April 2011.[14]

In 2012, Khan got her first leading role in Director's Kut Productions drama Amrit Manthan as the heroic Princess Amrit Kaur Sodhi.[15][16] Broadcast on Life OK, it is about two sisters who become enemies of each other.[17] The show co-starred Ankita Mayank Sharma, Dimple Jhangiani and Wasim Mushtaq.[18] It culminated in August 2013.[19]

She has also done episodic roles in Yeh Hai Aashiqui,[20][21] Crime Patrol, Code Red and Savdhaan India @ 11.[22] She was also part of the reality show Welcome 2 – Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki.

In November 2015,Khan got her role in Naagin a shape shifting serpent as Shesha:A naagin from Sheshnaag clan.Her fierce looks and dialogue delivery made her character top notch.She was also seen as Ruchika,takshika,Shesha in Naagin (2015 TV series) Season 2.

She was slated to play the title character in the supernatural series Daayan[23][24] but she opted out of the project to play the lead in another supernatural series titled Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara[25] which started to air on Colors from 3 December 2018.

In May 2019, she appeared as a guest star in the final few episodes of Naagin 3 as Shesha.[26]

In 2020, she participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 as a contestant.[27]

In August 2020, she appeared as a guest star in the final few episodes of Naagin 4 as Shesha.[28] In February 2022 5th-6th she again appeared as Shesha for Basant Panchami Special on Colors.
