Acanthocnemus

Acanthocnemus nigricans is a species of polyphagan beetle, the only species in the monotypic genus Acanthocnemus, in turn the only genus in the monotypic family Acanthocnemidae, and native to Australia.[2][3][4] The species is adventive in numerous other countries (Lobl & Smetana, 2007). It is pyrophilous and attracted to forest fires.
