February
- 19 February 2022, an al-Shabaab suicide bomber killed 14 people at a restaurant in Beledweyne.[1]
March
- 23 March 2022, a series of four coordinated attacks by al-Shabaab jihadists in Mogadishu and Beledweyne killed at least 48 people.[2]
- 24 March 2022, five people were killed during a raid by armed fighters on an army base near Aden Adde International Airport.[3]
April
- 22 April 2022, six people were killed in an attack at a seafood restaurant frequented by politicians in Lido Beach, Mogadishu.[4]
